Installing Microsoft ActiveSync

In order to exchange data between a desktop and the MT380, Microsoft ActiveSync

must be installed on the computer.

Note: Uninstall the previous version of Mircosoft ActiveSync before installing the latest version of ActiveSync.

The MT380 requires ActiveSync version 4.5 or higher.

The steps below explain how to install Microsoft ActiveSync on a computer:

Close all programs, including those that run during startup •

Disable all virus-• scanning software

Download ActiveSync from:•

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/activesync45.mspx

Browse to the download le location, and double-click the le download•

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation•

Connecting the MT380 to the Computer

1. The I/O panel is on the MT380’s back cover. Remove the I/O panel with a Phillips

head screwdriver, by twisting the screws counterclockwise as shown

below.
